The beneficial effect of red rice is obtained with a daily intake of 10 mg titrated at 3% of monacolin K from fermented red rice preparations. EPA and DHA contribute to normal cardiac function, the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. Vitamin B1 supports normal heart function. Finally, vitamin E promotes the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
